plants

We work with some of the finest, selected nurseries in the Netherlands to ensure Cardiff has access to a wide variety of botanical life suitable for the home and office. This includes an amazing array of exotic foliage plants, hangers, succulents and cacti.

To reduce our carbon footprint, we also work closely with Bute Park Nurseries located just a mile down the road, where we are able to source indoor and outdoor plants which have been propagated from mothering plants in Cardiff.

In addition to this, we propagate our own plants in our on-site greenhouse and take plant donations from our community neighbours. These plants are sold on a pay-as-you-feel basis with all proceeds going to Refugee Community Kitchen, helping to feed displaced persons in Europe.

well-being

Eartha was born in 2018, after the director Stephen decided on a career change in order to improve his mental health and be closer to nature and his community.

He believes there is a simple, but effective joy in the art of nurturing something and seeing it prosper. With a background in bookbinding and design, which informed his appreciation for hand-made products, he also believes there is much to be appreciated in the incredible natural design that exists within nature and plants.

Stephen recently wrote a piece about his journey with Eartha for Time To Change Wales, a campaign to end mental health discrimination. This can be read here.

The space has been previously used for well being workshops, encouraging individuals to engage with nature in various forms in order to learn new skills. These have included fermenting foods, propagation, illustration and more.

Due to COVID-19, workshops have currently been paused but please follow our Instagram page for updates on future activities.
