We’re fortunate to have Herbivore in the kitchen here at Eartha. A staple in Cardiff’s vegetarian/vegan community, introducing Cardiffians for over a decade to innovative and exciting plant-based delights.

Our menu regularly changes as Herbivore focuses on being inventive with seasonal ingredients, trying to use what we have access to on a local and national level.

Eating nutritiously, seasonally and locally sourced is important to us as it not only encourages a healthy lifestyle, but also a healthy economy and environment.

amano growers

Ben and Anna are first-generation farmers growing on a small parcel of land in Ponthir. Their separate quests for the most delicious food and the most sustainable choices brought them together, with the aim of sharing the love of fresh and nutrient dense produce, building a community around the table and bridging the gap between farmer and consumer.

Amano is inspired from the Italian phrase “by hand”, which is how everything is grown from soil to plate. They’re passionate about growing within a balanced ecosystem, and how this is intertwined with soil health. A healthy soil, teeming with life, allows their plants to fully express their flavours and nutrition.

global gardens

Global Gardens Project is a community growing project based in Cardiff.

Our vision is to create a growing space that supports community-based sharing of food and cultures.

We have an allotment site where we are cultivating an organic kitchen garden, celebrating crops from around the world.

The crops grown are used in our quarterly community suppers and shared within the local community.

CSG are a not-for-profit social enterprise combining growing and selling fresh cut salad leaves whilst working with disadvantaged groups of individuals from in and around Cardiff.

“We are located in Bute Park, one of the most central parks in Cardiff, using a greenhouse within The Walled Garden to grow our produce. We grow a range of salad leaves all year round for continuous harvesting. These mixed baby leaf salads are picked to order, high quality, and unique, and are available to wholesale customers in Cardiff all year round. We make all salad deliveries to restaurants in Cardiff by bicycle  – a truly sustainable business.”
